Air Peace Expands UK Operations with New London Heathrow–Abuja Route Starting October 26

Air Peace, Nigeria’s largest carrier, has secured a significant milestone in its international expansion strategy with the announcement of a new direct service between London Heathrow and Abuja, Nigeria’s capital city.

According to Heathrow Airport, the three-weekly service will commence on October 26, 2025 with flights operated using a Boeing 777 aircraft.

The service will operate from Heathrow’s Terminal 3, enhancing travel access between the United Kingdom and West Africa.

This marks Air Peace’s second scheduled route into the UK following its Lagos-London launch and reflects the airline’s strategic efforts to deepen its global network while expanding its West African footprint.

A spokesperson for Heathrow stated, “Heathrow is proud to welcome Nigeria’s largest carrier, Air Peace, to Terminal 3… We look forward to welcoming its first flight.”

The new Abuja route comes at a critical time when demand for Africa-bound travel from the UK is rising due to increased economic ties, tourism, and diaspora connections.

It also presents a significant opportunity for Nigerian travelers seeking more direct access to London during the busy winter season.

Air Peace continues to strengthen its fleet capabilities and has reiterated its commitment to offering “world-class service” on international routes.

The Abuja–London route will provide travelers access to the airline’s long-haul in-flight amenities and an improved travel experience.

Bookings for the new service are already available on the airline’s official website: flyairpeace.com

The airline’s expansion into the UK aligns with Nigeria’s broader aviation and economic objectives of positioning its national carriers as globally competitive while boosting connectivity between Africa and major world economies.

The new service is expected to improve passenger traffic, encourage bilateral tourism, and enhance trade between Nigeria and the United Kingdom.
